Prime Day 2026: What’s Actually Worth Buying Now and Later

prime day picks

Amazon Prime Day 2026 is officially happening June 23–26, but if you’ve been browsing Amazon lately, you’ve probably noticed that some of the deals are already live.

I actually enjoy Prime Day because it’s a chance to save money on things I was already planning to buy. It’s not really about filling my cart with random stuff—it’s about finally getting a good price on something that’s been sitting on my wishlist for months.

And let’s be honest: not every Prime Day deal is amazing.

A lot of products end up being around 10% off. That’s nice, but it’s usually not enough to convince me to buy something I wasn’t already considering.

Where I really get tempted is when the bigger-ticket items start dropping by 20%, 30%, or even 40%.

For instance, this Breville espresso machine keeps staring at me every time I open Amazon.

It’s currently 28% off, and that’s the kind of discount that gets my attention. I’ve wanted an espresso machine for a while, and when something you’ve been eyeing suddenly drops by nearly a third, it’s hard not to start doing the math.

That’s really my Prime Day philosophy:

Don’t look for things to buy. Look for discounts on things you already wanted.

If there’s a vacuum, patio set, kitchen appliance, piece of furniture, or tech item you’ve been considering, now is a great time to start watching prices. The best Prime Day purchases are often the ones you’ve already researched and planned for.

I’ve noticed some things will get me really excited because it’s a great deal, but I have to ask myself “Do I really need that right NOW?”. Most of the time, it’s a no, and for some things I may even be able to wait another year to buy it! Case in point, the TV I have listed below that I bought for my bedroom, we’ve used it a handful of times. I do like having it there especially if I’m sick and stuck in bed, but it was absolutely not necessary. Even so, I’m considering getting one for the loft! Now, that TV was very old and broke, but do we really need a TV up there now? Probably not.

Just be careful to not get sucked down the path of “ooh what a good deal!!!!”. Gosh, it’s so easy to do that, huh?

Over the next week, I’ll be sharing some of the early deals that stand out to me along with the products I’m keeping an eye on as we get closer to June 23. Exactly one week away!

Some categories I’m watching closely include:

  • Home & organization
  • Kitchen favorites
  • Outdoor living and backyard finds
  • Style and accessories
  • Wellness essentials
  • Family-friendly favorites
  • Big-ticket items with genuinely significant discounts

I’ve rounded up some of my favorite early deals below, and I’ll continue updating them as Prime Day approaches.

Here’s a few that I just have to mention here because I already own them and want to emphasize what I like about each one:

Waterpik Aquarius

I’ve had this Waterpik for years. Nothing gets your gums quite as clean as a Waterpik. Plus, gum health is where dental health begins. Worth the investment and it’s 40% off right now!

Blink Outdoor Wireless Smart Security Cameras

version 1.0.0
I can not stress this enough, this is a FANTASTIC deal! If I did not already have a full system of Blink cameras, I would pounce on this deal. I’ve had the same system since they first came out and they are going strong. Love how they’re battery powered and you can just pop them anywhere. They are offering a full 5 camera system at 65% off. Just $104.99. I’ve paid more than that for just 2 cameras!

Here’s a video from mine and I’m sure the quality is even better now.

There’s something so peaceful about the tiny moments you start noticing when you slow down a little 🤍 This little hummingbird has been visiting us almost every day and I hope it keeps coming back. Living in Arizona can feel harsh sometimes, but moments like this remind me how much quiet beauty exists here too. 🌵✨ #ArizonaLiving #ArizonaLife #Hummingbird #DesertLiving #NatureMoments

Insignia 55″ TV

I bought this TV last year when it was Prime Day. We use it as a bedroom TV and I think it works well for that. It’s pretty big for a bedroom TV at 55″ but they also have the 50″ and 43″ on sale as well. I feel like the quality is good enough but I may be a little more discerning if it was my main TV (or maybe not!). I’m heavily considering purchasing a second one for our loft while it’s on sale! $179.99 for the 55″, $159.99 for the 50″ and $139.99 for the $43″.

Amazon Echo Dot

If you have not tried an echo dot yet, you’re missing out, but only if you add other compatible devices. While I do enjoy the ease of setting a timer in the kitchen and listening to my Spotify at any time; my favorite feature of the echo dots are their ability to control other devices in my home. I don’t have to get up to change the temperature, turn on the fan, turn off a light, see my blink cameras on my TV, and the list goes on. I don’t even have to get out my phone and check an app! We all also love saying “Alexa, Open Sleep Sounds and Play Ocean”. Everyone in my house is lulled to sleep by the sounds of ocean waves on their Echo Dot!

Here’s hoping we all find a few things we truly love—and maybe save a little money in the process.

Do you think Prime Day 2026 is going to be better than Prime Day 2025?
