It was a great experience because it gave me the time to reflect on what The Desert Edit started as and what it is slowly morphing into. I gravitate towards certain things and naturally I post more about those topics.
I’ve become so grateful for simple pleasures in life and little luxuries.
I love posting about cooking and baking quite frequently. I have videos on my TikTok, Instagram and YouTube with many recipes and Home Chef Meals in action!
Desert Living is my favorite category to cover! It lets me get super local and share knowledge I have as someone who has lived in the East Valley of Arizona their whole life.
I’m constantly trying to add to and decorate my house. I thoroughly enjoy creating a peaceful, beautiful and functional home. This subject is something I would love to post more about, but lets be real, decorating a home can get expensive! I like to find affordable ways to make my space look expensive, but more importantly, feel like a home to me specifically.
Style can be a little different when you live in the Desert. I own one heavy jacket and I rarely wear it. I get excited finding cute new dresses, accessories (like sunglasses), and trying styles to see if they work for me. I keep it affordable, with many recommendations being from SHEIN.
Sometimes I have a recommendation that doesn’t fit nicely into these categories. So, I added “Jackie’s Favorites”. I’ll add anything from laundry supplies to kids toys to book recommendations to body glitter in here.
