Summer is here in Arizona and that changes what I’m reaching for on a daily basis. Here’s a round up of what I’ve found myself using over and over again in the month of May. It’s hot hot hot!

1. DripDrop Bold Variety Pack
The DripDrop Bold Variety Pack is actually a favorite of mine every month. I have it on Subscribe and Save, but this month it’s really started to heat up in Arizona and I’ve made an even more conscious effort to stay hydrated. I like these in particular because of the flavor and affordability. I typically drink one per day so this pack can last me a month. I prefer it pretty watered down. I’ll do half a packet in my full Owala and then drink the other half later in the day when I refill my water bottle. On days I feel more dehydrated I’ll have two.
They do have real sugar, so if you’re trying to avoid sugar I wanted to mention that. I personally prefer real sugar over most sugar affordable replacements so I’m OK with it. I can not stand aspartame.
2. Owala FreeSip Water Bottle
The Owala FreeSip Water Bottle has been my “new” water bottle for two months now. I went with the 40 ounce size and that was absolutely the right call for me. I lug this thing everywhere. The handle makes it easy and the leak proof lid makes it convenient. The feature that really sold me was you can either sip through the straw or chug. I hate dealing with resistance when sipping through a straw. I’m thirsty dangit! Give me my hydration ASAP! The cool thing about the design is since there is the additional airflow for the chug feature, the straw works fantastic and delivers the cool liquid to your mouth in a hurry. I rarely need to use the chug feature because of this.
Also, don’t forget to use the lock feature if you throw the water bottle into a bag. I made that mistake yesterday and something in the bag bumped the lid and sprung it open. Of course, there was liquid everywhere but that was not the designs fault. They built in an easy to use locking system on the top of the lid.
The water bottle has maintained ice cubes overnight and that’s a big metric for me. I’m really liking it after two months of use. Just don’t forget to clean it regularly because realizing there’s stuff growing in it too late is such a gross feeling!
3. Red White & Blue Face and Body Glitter
This Red White and Blue Body and Face Glitter comes in a squeeze tube. Its about half the price of the roll on ones I’ve seen advertised on Tik Tok Shop. My kids loved having it on their cheeks and I added a little on my collar bone. We brought it to a family get together on Memorial Day and all of the kids had fun adding glitter to their preferred spots. The tube is still pretty much full so I’ll have plenty left for 4th of July and Labor Day. Plus plenty to share with family and friends!
4. Dress from Shein & Beachwaver Curling Iron

I wore a black dress from Shein that I’ve had in my closet for quite some time to my daughter’s Kindergarten graduation.
I did my hair with my Beachwaver b1 curling iron. As someone who grew up never feeling confident curling their hair with a regular curling iron, this thing has been a game changer!
5. Princess Tent with Fairy Lights
This princess tent with fairy lights is so adorable!
If you have young girls it will be a hit with them! Made for indoor or outdoor use with a mesh lining.
It’s a magical “hiding spot” or clubhouse for the kids…and dog apparently!
6. Steadfast Diner
This is a local favorite of ours. If I’m taking the whole family to dinner, this is a go-to spot. Why? It’s literally situated in the Eastmark Great Park. While you wait for your food the kids can play outside. It’s within eyesight of the splash pad too. Not only is is family friendly, they genuinely have fantastic food. I’ve come here multiple times for date nights as well. Scrumptious cheeseburgers, ruebens, chicken strips, and a nice array of cocktails and local brews.
They feature local beef, veggies pulled straight from the farm you can see right from your table, and have fresh (or dried) flowers also right from the farm there on the table. When it’s hot outside, they have misters going to make it comfortable. Absolutely love this place!
7. Olive and June Press On Nails

I’ve been doing my own nails for decades at this point. I’ve tried all kinds of systems. Sometimes it’s a ritual for me and a form of self-care. I’ll enjoy the time it takes to do them. Other times I just don’t have the time but would still like to have nice nails. Most of the time, if I don’t have time, I resort to well maintained natural nails.
Lately, my kids have been begging to have their nails done. While looking in the aisle of press-on nails for them, I found so many lovely option for adults. I couldn’t help but try some out and I’m so glad I did. These nails were quick and I feel cute too! Just make sure you put in the time to prep properly and they will last.
I’d even consider them one of my quiet luxuries this month!
8. People We Meet On Vacation: Deluxe Edition
I’ve been trying to finish this book for a ridiculously long time. Like, it’s kind of embarrassing! I was finally intentional about it over the past few weeks and I finished it! Wahoo!
I will fully admit that I purchased this book based on the cover. It’s beautiful and it has an interesting name. After I read the synopsis I was sold.
What pushed me to finish it was a couple things. First, I put on my vision board that I would read at least 3 books this year and we’re half way through the year and I’ve just now finished ONE. Second, I saw that they made a movie about it on Netflix and refuse to watch the movie until I finished the book. I’m so excited that I can now watch the movie with my Fiance!
I really enjoyed the book and once I was more intentional with reading it, I found myself engrossed in it and reading for over an hour at a time. Highly recommend!
Taking time to finally finish reading this book one of my quiet luxuries this month!
